In the year 1978 I was offered the
opportunity to join the world of Hungarian artists, having
years of experience in the artistic finishing of egg shells.
In the course of the years I elaborated a unique technique
in Europe in the field of egg-shell finishing, which
consists in a special procedure of engraving the shell,
applying straw inlays and using burnt straw for the
appliqués.
Soon my works became known abroad as well, e.g. in Germany,
Austria and Switzerland, where they achieved a great
success. Later I participated personally in several fairs
and exhibitions about egg-shell finishing and got acquainted
with its European trends. I also attended some exhibitions
about this topic in Canada. |

I consider the surface of an egg-shell as a material that fits
for realize my artistic conception and ideas on it. In my view,
the form itself is one of the most perfect and simple forms
created by nature. The eggs of different birds, the variety of
their dimensions, shapes, smoothness of their surface provide
immense possibilities of elaboration for the artist.

Creating drawings and water-colours
requires a perfect adaptation of mind. Time and outside world
fade away, tiredness disappears. I try to make use of techniques
I elaborated in finishing egg shells. The methods applied in my
paintings set off the favourable joint impression of a drawing
by light Indian ink on a dark background and an appliqué of
straw collage inlay. The discipline of the ornaments, keeping
the decorative elements in a strict geometric order and the
applied technique together, make classing of my works difficult
for the trade jury.
It is a pleasure for me if my works find your approval!
